1. Basic Black Dress - The basic black dress has been around for a long time. It is often called the “Little Black Dress”, and it’s true that shorter skirts on the basic black dress, when they hit you in the right place, can be more flattering than a long black dress.
2. Trench Coat - The trench coat is one of the pieces that is both classic and currently a hot fashion item. Most any store sells this piece now. It is great for fall and you can pick it up in a wide range of lengths.
3. Dress Pants - Although it doesn’t say black, this is probably what you want to look for. Black is flattering on all figures and goes with everything.
4. Classic Shirt - The white shirt is a definite classic. But it can also come in many different styles to make it look trendy and not dated or like a man’s piece of clothing. Find one that accentuates your best attributes and minimizes trouble spots. For example, if you have wide shoulders, stay away from large collars.
5. Jeans - Everyone has a pair of jeans, but does everyone have a pair of jeans that make them look great? The wider leg, low-rise jean style has been popular (and still is) but a narrower leg is coming back along with a higher waist, which eliminates the unflattering “muffin top” look.
6. Any Occasion Top - Find something you look great in that can look respectable under a jacket but bring on the fun after hours.
7. Skirt - If you need dress pants then you also need a skirt. A skirt is womanly and can be flirty or businesslike. Nowadays women do not wear many skirts or dresses, which makes a lot of them fall into a rut of dressing sloppily or like men. See number 8.
8. Day Dress - Women also are not wearing as many dresses anymore. It was certainly liberating to go from the ’50s when women wore dresses every day to wearing more practical pants for gardening, exercising, and so forth. But the dress does not have to be abandoned altogether. They can be very flattering, and there is nothing wrong with “dressing up” for daytime.
9. Jacket - A jacket does not have to be masculine. Find one with a proper, fitted shape. Women’s jackets should follow the silhouette of a woman’s body and accent the hourglass curve at her waist. It is also a perfect piece to put with the skirt or dress pants, and white shirt. Or make it casual with a pair of jeans.
10. Sweatsuit Alternative - As mentioned before, women wear fewer skirts and dresses these days. But some women have taken casual to the extreme and spend days on end in sweatsuits. It is possible to be casual and comfortable without looking like a slob. Find a comfortable material (that’s why this doesn’t say jeans again – denim is not as comfortable as a nice soft cotton) that you would want to wear every day. It could be khakis, cords, a cotton dress, or much more.

After watching the show, I rushed to my wardrobe and started to group, count and summarize what I have and don’t have. I am a LBD girl. I own over 10 little black dresses. Loved it and can’t live without it. For me, it’s a classic piece and never disappoint me every time I wear it. But, I don’t have any dress pant. No wonder why I am struggling in dressing myself to workplace. I’m glad Tim Gunn has this show. Surely, it helps many girls out there. Everyone can dress, but very few really know how to. It’s a tiny line between dress simple and dress sophisticated. Simple can be seen as sloppy or boring. Getting to the next step of simple but classic needed some work and understanding your body profile plus color coordination. It never be easy.

I went to the event in San Jose and found this at lunch break. It was the fruit arrangement in Hawaii style. There is a company called Edible Arrangement that sell the fruit basket in the more interesting way. I received the beautiful fruit basket once from friend and loved it. What an interesting idea! I love eating fruit especially when it came in a nice touch. Anyway, those were quite hight from where I was standing at. I guess it’s for some tall guests. Sad:<

The food there is not the best in town. But, it’s good enough when you crave for Asian. It’s an American version of Asian noodle. Thanks Goodness that their food is not salty as typical American foods. The decor is somewhat Shanghai with a modern twist. Plus, cute and interesting fortune telling fish as a gift back home. My fish always rolled which mean I’m a lucky girl. Hooray!

Actually, it  wasn’t my first time being away from home. I have been far away from Thailand over years when I was studying in UK. I didn’t feel like I craved for my homeland this much. I think that may be because this time it’s different.  I am no longer an international student, a robinhoodie or a happy go lucky tourist to any countries. I always know that I will be back to Thailand no matter what. It’s no rush. Just have fun in the countries I visited, take my time and enjoy every moments. At the end of each trip, when it’s time to pack my bag home, I feel that time’s passed by so fast. I still need a little more time to explore those new territories. 

When the plane landed in Thailand, my eyes was sore. Suvannabuhmi airport is nice and big different from every time I see it, or I never realize this till now. It was overwhelmed to the fact that I am an official tourist in my own country. I will be in Thailand only 3 weeks. Yes, I have 3 weeks! That’s why coming back to Thailand this time, I felt totally different. It’s sad to say that I need more time…just like I used to ask for when I was traveling aboard. I hate that feeling. The saddest thing is that I haven’t  been to all over the beautiful cities in Thailand yet. What a shame! Coz. I always chose international explore over the local treasure. I think I’m in Thailand anyway, I can travel any time I want to. I think wrong. This teaches me a lot. 

NEVER TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED

Never! Even if it is your country, you’re born there, you live there. You never know that one day you may not be there anymore with any reasons. Just do it today, not tomorrow. Live like there is no tomorrow.

I hope some friends will listen to this and won’t make a mistake like I did.

I remember hearing the quote “Behind Every Great Man is the Greater Woman”. It is quite a well known, giving a generous thought for those wives. 

When it comes to the successful women, men, on the other hand, don’t seem to play well as a supporting partner. There are more and more powerful women in today business world. Who behind those greater women’s back? Does Bill suit the case? Many of these women are married young, became success and finally divorced. Most of them are single as they were too busy to get into the relationship while climbing the ladder.

Maybe, this sticker reveals the truth. Women can’t have it all. Not that we are not capable, but it is our decision. We have to choose to be the best or the greatest either family or work.

He is one of my favorite rock star since I was young. I never think that one day I will see his concert live in the US. Bon Jovi looks exactly the same as he was 20 years ago. He doesn’t look like he ages much. He came out with his skinny pants and the sexy guitar. It was a fun concert. He is a real deal. I realized that most of his fans are women just like me, middle age (30-50 yrs.). Most of them came as a girl night out group, some came with their husband. I can tell that the husband didn’t have as much fun as the wife.

I went shopping a day before the Easter and found many shoppers were looking for their Easter costume. Pink is in and same as other in pastel mode. I’m thrilled. Dress according to the season is cool. I never have this when i was in Thailand. It’s always Summer time. No matter what month in the calendar. I tried to wear the coat few times. But, it didn’t work. It drew many attention, mostly negative. And, at the end of the day, I was sweating all over.

This is gonna be fun for me. I can’t wait to shop for my Spring closet. Whoo Hoo!

Yeah…this guy was eating the KFC fried chicken. He must be so hungry???. I hope he didn’t finish it all by himself. Don’t you think it is a little weird? He was serious and never let go that drum stick for the whole 5 minutes.

Oh well, it seems to me, the city pigeon’s food is nothing different from us.

I’m wondering why I didn’t use this one as a host. I realize that I went through it but didn’t feel like they are the best. Almost a year later, they improve to another step. Here’s the down points:
- Not really nice link design. YOu have to add the “website link” button to each one. It’s better with the HTML link to the name.
- Letter is too small. Not elderly friendly

So, this is my conclusion…
Finding the right wedding website, it depends on your styles and what features that are most important to you, budget, styles, links… They are a lot of free host which mostly are ok if you don’t care about the look and details.

It is a girl power. It is in San Francisco. And, It is fun!

I went to one of the greatest idea of doing good thing, going green, pampering myself, mingling with friends and fashion genius. Yeah! They are all in one as a package. I found this fun event from CBS the other night and felt tempting to join them. The event called “Clothing Swap” founded by Suzanne Agasi. I brought some of my clothing and accessories. All are in good condition. Some I never wear them before. Girls always change their mind. You thought you will definitely wear it if you buy it. Then, a week later you still think that way. It’s sitting in your wardrobe for a while. A year later, you realize “I can’t return them, what should I do with it?” Well, there is a solution better than ever. You shall SWAP.

I love this idea. It is cool. I arrived at 7PM at Sugar Cafe on Sutter. It is a good place for meeting a new friends, most girls. And, a brilliant way for single guys to check on the new girls in town and buy them a drink. I had a massage and get my hair done an updo style while waiting for the staff putting things together. We all had a good time, massaging, drink and chat.

At 9PM, the curtain opened and it was a time to hunt for stuffs. I was so ready, same as all the girls. They took it so serious. There was many clothes, jeans, shoes, hats, purses, belts,… I hope I didn’t miss a thing. There’s a bag ready for you to throw in whatever you want. The leftover will be donated to La Casa de las Madres Women’s Shelter in SF.

That’s why I love living in the metropolitan like San Francisco! I only wish all my friends in Thailand could join me. It will be just perfect!
